Summer, summer, summer time! As you plan your June calendar of events, include Statistics in Schools resources. We have fun activities to help you recognize fathers, celebrate children, and spread love this wedding season.
Happy Father’s Day!
The first father’s day celebration took place on June 19, 1910. | Love is in the air!Did you know the peak season for weddings begins in June? For this wedding season, interact with your students using theEducational Attainment and Marriage Age high school math activity. In this activity students will analyze the relationship between the median age (in years) when women first marry and the percentage of women aged 25–44 with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

| Shape your future. Start here. Interested in helping your students, schools, and communities benefit from the 2020 Census? Looking to become a leader in your school and community? Become a teacher ambassador for the U.S. Census Bureau’s Statistics in Schools (SIS) program.For the 2019-2020 school year, new SIS materials will be released that teach students about the importance of the 2020 Census count, and empowers them to share this knowledge with adults in their homes. The Census Bureau is looking for teacher ambassadors in all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
