Camp Able NOLA ​​is specifically designed for persons with special needs. It is NOT​ ​about disabilities, but ABILITIES! Camp Able is about forming a community that loves us just as we are. Our goal is to establish a community of unconditional love, compassion and acceptance. Each camper is dedicated their own counselor.
Camp Able NOLA is located at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and is a day camp with activities such as arts & crafts, Amusement Park at City Park, water slide, games, pool day, Audubon Aquarium & Zoo, Bayou St. John kayaking, second line, and a must see talent show. Ages range from 10 and up.
With 52 campers and over 100 counselors, we have more than quadrupled since our inaugural year in 2016. Camp Able NOLA is a non-profit, free to all campers, and staffed by volunteers. We are hoping to get coverage of Camp Able, especially the Talent Show, in order to get the word out to more potential campers in New Orleans and the surrounding areas. We hope you will help us get the word out for such an incredible such a life-changing camp.
Camp Able New Orleans is a day camp from 9am-3pm on July 25-29
