INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LOUISIANA RECEIVES GRANTFROM COX COMMUNICATIONS
  
InternationalSchool of Louisiana (ISL) has been selected among 46 schools as a recipient ofthe 2017 Cox Charities Innovation in Education grant program. 
 
The grant waspresented to ISL on September 26 at the school’s new Dixon Campus. The grantaward will fund ISL’s Makerspace Genius Hour, in part. 100% of the funds comefrom local Cox Communications employees. 
 
“CoxCommunications recognizes that teachers play a critical role in improving thequality of life in our community,” said Cox Communications Director of Public & Gov. AffairsSteve Sawyer. “It is our hope that this grant will allow schools to improve theeducational experience of students. We know that together, we can make adifference.” 
 
“We are honored to receive this grant from Cox Communications,”said ISL CEO/Head of School Melanie Tennyson. “The funds from this grant willgo a long way into making programs in our school even better. Thank you to allthe leaders at Cox for this special grant.”
