U.S. Attorney concludes probe, clears Kenilworth




 


The U.S. Attorney in Baton Rouge has concluded a two-year investigation, formally clearing Kenilworth Science and Technology School of any legal violations.

 

"American justice has prevailed," Kenilworth Superintendent Dr. Eugene T. Eski said. "This obviously was a very thorough investigation, and we are pleased there were no findings. I also appreciate the professionalism exhibited by U.S. Attorney Walter Green and his office."

 

Kenilworth cooperated fully with both the U.S. Attorney's office and the state Inspector General's office, which also announced it was ending its investigation.

 

Dr. Eski said the school is excited that students have returned after the holiday break, and the faculty and staff are working hard to improve student academic performance.








Kenilworth Science and Technology Charter School is a state-sanctioned charter school with an academic focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM. Formerly a part of the East Baton Rouge Parish school system, Kenilworth has demonstrated consistent academic growth since its conversion to a charter school in 2009.
