Lake Forest Elementary Charter School and Liberty Bank & Trust Present 3rd Annual “Cocktails and Blues” Benefit Featuring Gina Brown on November 7
 
 Lake Forest Elementary Charter School will host the 3rd Annual Cocktails & Blues Gala on Saturday, November, 7th, 2015, at the Lakefront Airport Terminal. The evening, presented by Liberty Bank & Trust, benefits student activities, unique enrichment programs such as on-site instructional swimming, and the Eleven Eleven Zero Fund, which is designated to develop the school’s athletic complex at the new 11110 Lake Forest Boulevard campus.   


The evening begins with an open bar cocktail reception at 6 pm for VIP Patrons in the famed Walnut Room where guests will have a chance to mingle with a view of the runway. Reception is followed by dinner and the presentation of the Community Hero Award to an outstanding citizen who has made significant contributions to the Greater New Orleans Community—past recipients include Norman Robinson and Grammy Award Winner Irma Thomas. At 8 pm, the general admission gala and silent auction begins in the Atrium with entertainment by the legendary Gina Brown and passed hors d'oeuvres by Messina’s. 
 
“The funds raised from Cocktails & Blues are vital in ensuring that Lake Forest Elementary Charter School continues to provide the highest quality of public education to many future generations of children in New Orleans,” said Alden J. McDonald, Jr., Liberty Bank & Trust, President and CEO.  “We are thrilled to support an institution that is constitutive to the New Orleans East community.”


Lake Forest Elementary Charter School is a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School that provides a nurturing environment for children from diverse backgrounds and facilitates maximum student achievement through a rigorous, accelerated academic program, which will ultimately enhance each student’s ability to become a global, contributing citizen.  The highest performing K-8 school in Orleans Parish, Lake Forest Elementary Charter delivers on its promise to our children—the promise of an academic foundation for life.  


The ticket price for the VIP Patron Reception & Dinner is $125 per person.  General Admission Gala & Silent Auction Tickets are $60.  Sponsorship opportunities available.
