Louisiana Women Legislators Accepting
Applications for the 2015 EAO Scholarship

Application Period Opens for the  
2015 LLWCF Educational Advancement Opportunity (EAO) Scholarship

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus Foundation is now accepting applications for the Educational Advancement Opportunity (EAO) Scholarship.  The deadline to apply is Friday, February 6, 2015.   Each scholarship award is $500 and is to be used to help defray the costs of tuition, room and board, and books. The women legislators created the scholarship through their foundation and have awarded $25,000 in scholarships to deserving young women in Louisiana since 2010.

The EAO Scholarships will be awarded at the 8th Annual Women of Excellence Awards & Scholarships Ceremony and Reception on May 26, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in Baton Rouge at a location to be announced.   Multiple scholarships will be awarded. About Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus 

The Louisiana Legislative Women's Caucus is comprised of the women in the Louisiana Legislature, whose collective  mission is to: (1) prepare the next generation of women leaders and (2) serve as the premiere voice and leading monitor of issues, legislation and policies, which impact women.  There are presently 18 women who serve in both the Louisiana Senate and the Louisiana House of Representatives combined.
