        Einstein Charter School student participates in 2015 National Scripps Spelling Bee       
       
        
        
       
        Einstein Charter School student Tien Thuy Nguyen, 12, participated in the 2015 National Scripps Spelling Bee this past May. Nguyen was one of 146 girls and 139 boys who competed in the contest, and the only New Orleans resident in the competition.        
       
                
       
        Tien was able to participate in the contest in Maryland after she won the New Orleans area competition, organized by NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune and the New Orleans Chapter of the Links.       
       
                
       
        Tien received a Surface 3 from Microsoft for her participation.
