[CharterSchools] Educating Louisiana TONIGHT!

On tonight’s episode of Educating Louisiana, host and LAPCS Policy Director Veronica Brooks welcomes Dujan Johnson, Executive Director of Community School for Apprenticeship Learning (CSAL) and Erika McConduit-Diggs, President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater New Orleans (ULGNO).
 
CSAL is a non-profit organization that opened its first charter school in 1997, one of the first charters in the state. CSAL now operates two brick and mortar charter schools and one virtual school. Tonight, Dujan Johnson discusses what it's like operating these different types of schools, as well as the evolution of charter schools in Louisiana.


Education has always been an important issue for the Urban League of Greater New Orleans, providing support to families for over 35 years. Erica McConduit-Diggs offers her insight on the benefits of school choice, the improvements she's seen in New Orleans public schools, and what the ULGNO is doing to help!


Educating Louisiana airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on Cox Cable Station 4 in the Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans markets.
