2014 has been an outstanding year for Young Audiences of Louisiana. Over the past year, YALA has extended learning opportunities for children by:

Serving 25,000 children through in-school performances by 40 of Louisiana's most talented artists and ensembles

Providing 15 schools and over 6,500 students with arts-integrated instruction through our artists-in-the-classroom residencies
Implementing 20 year-round arts, academic and cultural afterschool and summer programs, serving 2,500 children
Establishing 5 Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts programs at local area schools and early learning centers, introducing 32 teachers and teaching artists to a new approach to teach literacy

Supporting Young Audiences Charter School, the first arts-integrated public charter in Jefferson parish, in successfully serving over 500 students in grades K-4 - with plans to expand to 8th grade. 



       



  

 In addition, YALA has provided employment opportunities and professional development for over 125 area teachers and over 200 area-teaching artists to best engage students in innovative and exciting ways to learn. Thanks to supporters like you Young Audiences of Louisiana has been able to reach unprecedented heights with our programs and initiatives. Your support helps children throughout Southeast Louisiana succeed in life and in learning.
