The theme for this year’s National Charter Schools Week is ’Promoting Innovation and Excellence’. Nowhere in America’s Charter School movement is that theme more applicable than here in Louisiana. The propagation of Charter Schools in Louisiana is the pinnacle of both innovation and excellence in America. 




Louisiana contains the only majority Charter School district in the Nation. This abundance of choice, empowerment, and increased parental involvement has led the turnaround of a long struggling system. 




School choice is the future, and Louisiana is leading the way.

Thank you, legislators, for making Louisiana hospitable to charters by giving them the autonomy they need to be effective!
