Warren Easton Senior High School opened nearly a year after Katrina as a 
charter school on September 7, 2006 with 792 students...Faced with the possibility 
that the oldest public high school in New Orleans and a Louisiana landmark 
would not be reopened by the local school board, the Warren Easton Charter 
Foundation was organized...Our school provides our students with confidence and
