[BIHS] Donate to BIHS through your contribution to the Berkeley High School Development Group

[Berkeley International High School]

The Berkeley High School Development Group recently mailed its annual report and request for contributions to all Berkeley High School families.  Please consider making a contribution to the Development Group in support of the programs operated by the school.  Please also consider designating a portion of your contribution directly to Berkeley International High School.. These designated funds provide the program with the flexibility needed to meet the particular needs of BIHS students. These funds will be used for many of the following purposes:- Help low income students cover the cost of International Baccalaureate exams- Student travel to enhance the IB experience, including both local field trips and international travel 
- Curriculum enhancements- Other needs identified by our teachers
We all know that the state budget is in crisis, and school funding is threatened as the governor and legislature consider options for balancing the budget.  We can be pretty sure that new money won't be forthcoming.  Our contributions now are more important than ever in providing every BIHS student with the resources that will help them gain the full value of the program.To make a contribution to the Berkeley High School Development Group, and to designate a portion of your contribution to BIHS, use the envelope mailed to your home last week.  You can also visit 
BHSDGwww.bhsdg.org, or mail a check with your designation to BIHS to :P.O. Box 519 Berkeley, CA 94701-0519
Checks should be made out to BHSDG, with a memo or note with your designation.
