[BIHS] Correction - Meeting dates for parents of Sophomores and Freshmen

[Berkeley International High School]

The meeting dates for parents of Freshmen and Sophomores were reversed in the earlier email.  The dates below are correct.  We will also be seeking volunteers to help with setup and clean up for those events.

Volunteers needed for set up and clean up for Tuesday's Jr Parent Information Night.  If you can help please send a return email to Communications at berkeleyihs.org.

To help with set-up, plan to arrive by 6:15.  For clean up, plan to stay an extra half hour to make sure no mess is left for the teacher that uses the space as a classroom.

We need about 6 people for each "shift."



Important Information Night
Parents of BIHS Juniors
Tuesday, October 7th
7pm-9pm
Berkeley High School ’s Little Theater
 
Teachers and Administrators will brief parents on these topics:
 
IB Overview: Tests, teacher training, class titles, certification, diploma candidates
IB CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) : Your child will need to complete 150 hours
The Extended Essay: What to expect 
Course Selection: A review of the IB curriculum
 
There will be a Q&A afterwards.  Make sure your question is covered by emailing it now to: amilton at berkeley.k12.ca.us
 
There will be a parent meet-and-greet immediately following. Please bring one dessert to share.
 
Note:  A separate information night for parents of Sophomores is scheduled for October 15th, and for parents of Freshmen on October 22nd.  More details to come.
