[SSD Populace] Amtgard November 6th

Greetings to all,

Their are Four major announcements this week so please read thoroughly.

First off,  standard Amtgard this week shall be taking place at the usual time and place.

	Santa Rosa Park
	Saturday
	1pm - 4pm

Second, most of the local (and non-local) monarchy will be up at the coronation in Santa Cruz. Have no fear as a representative will be present on the field. More information about the coronation, such as dates and time, are included at the end of the email.

Third, On the weekend of November 12th through the 14th the Southern California Groups will be running their own Coronation in Santa Barbara. For more information see the end of the email.

Fourth, and finally,  the weather is projecting a chance of rain. Still, we shall be having extraordinary festivities unless their is a torrential downpour. If this is the case I will try to let you know beforehand, if possible.

INFORMATION ABOUT CORONATIONS BELOW

NORTHERN CORONATION:
Coronation at Wavehaven (Santa Cruz)

"Coronation day will begin at Wavehaven's normal park, Frederick Street Park (see the WH forum for directions) at 1:00pm. We will have the final rebellion game, where the forces of light attempt to push Deimos' dark countenance into the shadows for good. Afterwards I'm sure CJ will have plenty of fun games for us.

After playing at the field, all are invited to retire to Louden Nelson Center at 6:00pm for a delicios feast being planned by Leah. The address is

Feast fees will be announced, and we will have directions printed for people to get from the park to the hall. Parking can be limited, so try to carpool.

SOUTHERN CORONATION:
Southern California groups will be holding a Coronation camping event for Cinder Fields in the Santa Barbara area.

When: November... Friday the 12th @3pm - Sunday the 14th @ Noon
Where: Sage Hill, Live Oak campsite

Getting There:

From highway 101, take highway 154 approximately 15 miles to paradise road. Turn right and continue 5 miles to Los Prietos road. Turn left past ranger station to camp entrance. You will need to drive over a river-crossing. Rain season shouldn't be going yet, so the water level will be relatively low.

There are flushing toilets, water hydrants with potable water, in-ground fire pits, shaded camping areas, grills, benches. Large area for ditching and questing.

Fee: $15 per person for the whole weekend, $10 day fee - which will include breakfast(sat & sun), lunch for Saturday, and feast Saturday evening.
Theme: The Smurfs. There will be a smurf-based quest, which will be awesome! If you make your own smurfy-looking garb, expect to get bonuses.
