[SSD Populace] February Althing (Vote)

First off, a quick bit of explanation:
An Althing in Amtgard is a vote held to decide who will hold office,  
how to run things, whether to hold a given event at a given time, how  
to spend the group's money, or some similar issue.  People who have  
paid dues to the group and attended enough in the last six months can  
vote on these issues.  With this in mind, we were supposed to hold a  
vote yesterday, but the rain forced us not to.  As this month's  
Westmarch (California's branch of Amtgard) Althing includes a corpora  
change, I need all of our voting qualified members to provide me with  
a vote by proxy - i.e. emailing it to me.  The ballot will be appended  
after the list of voting qualified members, which follows this giant  
block of text.  If you're not on the list, you don't have to worry  
about this.  If you want to be on this list, talk to me at one of our  
regularly scheduled meetings, or shoot me an email.

If you don't care about the issues raised, at least send me an email  
saying "I abstain."  That will, believe it or not, actually help with  
the final tally.

Item the First) Westmarch Prime Minister
There is only one candidate declared for this office, the Grand Arch  
Duke, Lord Count Marquis Sir Euric Bloodstone.

He got those titles for being helpful and doing cool things for a huge  
chunk of groups, and has already served one term as Westmarch Prime  
Minister.  Provide a vote of

Confidence, No Confidence, or Abstain

for his second term.

Item the Second) [Corpora Change] Champion Selection/Election Process
There are two ways to select a land's Champion - by selection (the  
winner of a tournament) or by election (the way we just elected a new  
Prime Minister).  The Corpora (the governing document of Westmarch) is  
not, at present, clear as to which should be used, so we need to fix it.

Provide a vote of

Option A (Elected), Option B (Selected), or Abstain

for this item.  The full text of proposed changes follows:

Option A.
Article III, Section 5
Modify #2 from "The Champion shall be selected during the Time of the  
Crown."
to read: "The Champion shall be elected during the Time of the Crown."
(Underscore for emphasis of change)

Article VI, Section 2
Strikeout #4 "A tournament consisting of all members who qualify to  
run for Champion shall be held the same day as elections. The  
tournament shall consist of three (3) bouts: short sword, short sword  
and shield, and double short sword."

Option B.
Article III, Section 5
Modify #2 from "The Champion shall be selected during the Time of the  
Crown."
to read: "The Champion shall be determined as the winner of the  
Champion's Tournament (Article VI, Section 2)

Modify Article VI, Section 2 from :"A tournament consisting of all  
members who qualify to run for Champion shall be held the same day as  
elections. The tournament shall consist of three (3) bouts: short  
sword, short sword and shield, and double short sword."
to read: "A tournament consisting of all members who qualify to run  
for Champion shall be held the same day as Crown Quals. The tournament  
shall consist of three (3) bouts: short sword, short sword and shield,  
and double short sword."

Item the Third) Local Prime Minister Elections
As I am an interested party, this is not an election I am allowed to  
run myself.  Therefore, please email your vote for this issue to Baron  
Cronin at <ssdamtgard at gmail.com>.

There is only one candidate declared for this office, me.  If you  
think I've been doing a good job, vote for me.  If you think I've been  
doing a bad job, don't.  If you're not sure what my job is, I enter  
credits and keep the sign-in sheet more-or-less up to date.  So,  
please email Cronin a vote of

Confidence, No Confidence, or Abstain

on the issue of my continued service as Prime Minister of the Barony  
of Seven Sleeping Dragons.

Additionally, as this will be my umpteenth term in office if I am re- 
elected, we are required to authorize my continued presence in the  
office of Prime Minister.  Please also provide a vote of

Allow, Deny, or Abstain

to allow my stay in office beyond the normal two-term limit.
